  5. The swing of the lamp and microscope 
  6. arms can be locked by the two small 
  7. knobs on the vertical post.  When 
  8. loosened the two units angles can be 
  9. changed by just grasping any part of 
  10. either and rotating them.

  12. There is a scale near these knobs 
  13. which indicates the angle between the 
  14. light source and the microscope.
